Mickey At 50
Galleries?
This is the page where most artists post a long list of galleries that represent their work. I have no such list. Why? Well, the short answer is: I just haven't bother to get my work out there recently. I am, after all, retired, and therefore not required to be on any set schedule, timetable or agenda. That is part of the job description for retired persons.
In the past, I was represented by galleries in Los Angeles, Laguna Beach, Seattle, Washington D.C., and British Columbia. I also had numerous sole exhibitions in roughly the same cities. But then I went to work.
I found that Hollywood California was even more interesting and exciting than I had always dreamed it would be. I discovered that I could do the two things that everyone in Hollywood was looking for: I could draw . . . and I could write. Like 99 percent of the people who come to Hollywood, I wanted to write a screenplay. But my dream came true; far beyond my greatest expectations. My screenplay was sold and became a world wide smash hit. To date, "HOOPER" has made over 350 million dollars in World wide box office revenue. And it is still earning money in DVD sales. My picture drawing abilities landed me a job as set and show designer: or "Imagineer" as they are called, with the Walt Disney Company's theme park design division; where I was employed when my movie was released.
My work history, explained in detail here on my web site, is what I offer in place of a history of gallery representation.
*The drawing above: Mickey at 50 came to me on Mickey's fiftieth birthday; while I was working at Disney's theme park division.
